XBRL Spain Celebrates Twenty Years Under the Motto: From Financial Reporting to Sustainability

April 23, 2024 The XBRL Spain Association celebrates twenty years, under the motto: “XBRL Spain: 20 years, from financial reporting to sustainability.” The celebration brought together in an event María Emilia Adán (Dean of the College of Registrars and president of XBRL Spain), Leandro Cañibano (president of AECA), Santiago Durán (president of ICAC), Ángel Estrada (general director of Financial Stability, Regulation and Resolution of the Bank of Spain) and Elena Manzanera (president of the INE). The XBRL Spain Association, founded in 2004, brings together important regulators and supervisors: Bank of Spain, CNMV, ICAC, Commercial Registry and General Directorate of Assets, as well as many other private entities in the technology area. The fundamental objective is to promote the use of the 95% of Spanish companies currently deposit their annual accounts in XBRL format.
