CIPC Invites Public Comments & Consultation on Draft XBRL Taxonomy 2022 for Co-Operatives

June 20, 2022 The CIPC will mandate filing of Annual Financial Statements (AFSs) via XBRL by qualifying Co-operatives from 1 October 2022. The now published draft data model for Co-operatives and consultation paper serves as the basis for the development of the new co-ops module to be included in the next annual release of the CIPC XBRL taxonomy. In particular, the CIPC seeks comments on completeness, correctness and accuracy of the defined structures of elements. All comments should be sent to xbrl@cipc.co.za using the subject heading “CIPC XBRL Taxonomy 2022 Co-Operatives Data Model Consultation Paper”. The consultation paper includes 8 questions that the CIPC seeks comments on as part of the consultation process.
